The built-up area is indicated in hectares, the built-up area per person in m2. The built-up area per person indicates the structural compaction by canton (the lower, the more compact). The built-up area is determined by dividing the sum of industrial and commercial areas, building areas, traffic areas and special settlement areas in m2 by the permanent resident population.
