FFH areas (1:25.000) in Schleswig-Holstein LfU

Description

The shape includes the demarcations of the sites included by the European Commission in the List of Sites of Community Importance (SCI list) - Habitats Areas. (Commission Decision of 12 and 13 November 2007 published in the Official Journal of the European Union of 15.1.2008). Status: Notification June 2006 (last correction: February 2012) Comments: 1. In Schleswig-Holstein, all bird protection areas and sites of Community importance (GGB or SCI) have been declared Special Protection Areas (SPAs or SACs) under national law (NSG, LSG or European bird protection areas, unless designated as NSG or LSG, in accordance with Section 4 of the LNatSchG in conjunction with Section 33(1), first sentence, of the BNatSchG in conjunction with Section 24(1) of the LNatSchG and the site-specific conservation objectives formally published). Accordingly, all Habitats Areas in Schleswig-Holstein are to be designated as Special Protection Areas (SACs). 2. The area 0916-391 Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park and adjacent coastal areas extends in the north to the territory of Denmark. The course of the territorial border in the marine area (in particular north-west of Sylt) between the two states has not yet been defined in a binding map.
