Transmission of SIGNAL data

Description

Two-frequency GNSS receivers with antennas at fixed station locations receive and record signals transmitted from GPS and GLONASS satellites 24 hours a day. The data is transmitted via the Internet to the GPS Centre. Here they are processed by software that, among other things, forms data streams in RTCM format and stores station data in the form of RINEX files. Data streams in RTCM format are transmitted to the World Wide Web via Ntrip (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) of the GPS Service server. RINEX files are transmitted to users via the website.. SIGNAL field users use GNSS receivers to perform position measurements. By receiving satellite data and using SIGNAL data at the same time (the user selects the appropriate RTCM data stream), they can determine the position (point coordinations) directly in real-time ETRS89 with better accuracy than if they were receiving satellite data alone. The data of the SIGNAL network must be received by the user via the mobile network in real time. Users also have the possibility to use SIGNAL data after performing field measurements by after-processing their observations in combination with observations of the permanent stations of the SIGNAL network.
