Description
An informal stratigraphy of a bore is, like a formal stratigraphy, a lithostratigraphic interpretation of a (coded) lithological description by depth interval. The difference with formal stratigraphy is that informal stratigraphy does not have to meet a generally accepted standard. The informal stratigraphy is a place in DOV to show old interpretations or interpretations that do not comply with the current stratigraphic classification. The informal stratigraphy may also include a detailed description of a lithostratigraphic unit.
