Description
 The archive contains data on companies based in Tuscany and their employees; the information is taken from the ISTAT ASIA archive (Archvio Statistico delle Imprese Attive), the result of a process of integration of information from different administrative sources (Chambers of Commerce, INPS, Revenue Agency, etc.) and from the Survey on local units of large companies. There are companies that carry out activities in the industrial, commercial and business and household services sectors.Economic activities relating to agriculture and fisheries, public administration, and activities of associative organizations and extraterritorial bodies are excluded from the scope of observation. Information on economic activity is presented at the first level of detail (SECTION) of the broader Ateco2007 classification.
The information present in the archives, with reference to companies, local units and employees, constitute an update of data of census source, the knowledge of which is considered of particular interest. With Article 37(2)(e) of Law No 144/1999 of 17 May 1999, the legislator explicitly authorised its dissemination to municipal retailers, even in cases where the frequency is less than 3 units.
