Catchment area size at the grid cell (10 m grid data)
Description
The complex relief parameter catchment size describes the size of the catchment area of a grid cell in the depth line. The calculation was made using a multiple flow direction algorithm according to FREEMAN (1991). The catchment area size of the depth lines was determined in order to obtain an indication for the separation of the valley forms with fluvial or colluvial (flood masses) filling. Depth lines with a catchment area larger than 40 ha are shown. The present analysis is based on the digital height model of Lower Saxony (DGM1), which has been generalized after 10 m.
