Description

The Download Service (OAF) Soil Maps Brandenburg provides an overview of the three map books Soil Geological Map (BK 50), Soil Geological Overview Map (BÜK 300) and Medium-scale Agricultural Site Mapping (MMK), which are based on data for the state of Brandenburg. The contents of the BK 50 were presented for scale 1: 50,000 and are for representations in scales greater than 1: 25,000 is unsuitable. The contents of the BÜK 300 were presented for scale 1: 300,000 and are for representations in scales greater than 1: 50,000 is unsuitable. The contents of the MMK were presented for scale 1: 100,000 and are for representations in scales greater than 1: 100,000 is unsuitable. BK 50: The soil geological map is currently the most high-resolution soil geological map compiled by the LBGR. Already published: Sheet L3744 (Potsdam). Other sheets are in progress. BÜK 300: The soil geological overview map is the first non-use-independent soil geological map available for Brandenburg. The map provides an overview of essential soils and, with its evaluations, is the basis for concrete tasks such as state, soil protection or spatial planning at state level. The legend is structured according to substrate characteristics and consists of 99 units in which the lead soil form societies are represented. The surface soil forms that characterize them were documented with chemical and physical parameters that are stored in a surface soil form archive. In an additional layer, selected profile capture points are displayed, each linked to a link to a detailed profile description. This makes it possible to access the data of the digital map using various evaluation methods. MMK: The medium-scale agricultural site mapping was developed between 1974 and 1981 under the direction of the Soil Science Department Eberswalde of the Research Center for Soil Fertility of the then Academy of Agricultural Sciences and still represents an important information basis for a wide variety of questions. The current value of this map book lies, on the one hand, in its informative value for certain scales and, on the other hand, in the fact that a map book developed according to recent nomenclatures is only in progress on a comparable or larger scale for the agricultural area. OGC API features is a web API that simplifies the use of data in appropriate web development environments.
