Building Inventory of Southwest Finland
Description
The building inventory collects basic information on the building stock of the area. The inventory examines the appearance of buildings, antiquarian preservation, representativeness from a cultural historical perspective. The inventory data of the built environment of Southwest Finland will be opened to a limited extent from the database of the Turku Museum Centre/Regional Responsible Museum of Varsinais-Suomi, MIP – Museum Information Portal. The material to be opened has accumulated as a result of years of work since the 1980s. The data has been collected for different needs and systems, so the form and content of the data varies.
Information has been opened at regional and target level.
In terms of target inventories, the opened material includes the location, name and property code of the site, as well as a brief summary of the buildings, cultural historical values, value classification and photograph. For some items, only the location and name are displayed in the information opened.
The regional inventories contain information on the history, landscape and current state of the villages or districts, as well as the totalities of the built environment.
