Description
The ring track, built at the end of the 19th century to supply industrial enterprises in the Western Ring region, was shut down in the 1980s. In total, it encloses the city of Braunschweig with a total length of 19 km. In 2001, the city of Braunschweig took the initiative to expand the former railway route into a continuous, green leisure route within the city area.
