Hydrogeological units. Hydrological plans 1998
Description
Hydrogeological units as defined in the 1998 River Basin Management Plans. These are the groundwater management units that were used in the Spanish hydrological plans prior to the Water Framework Directive.
They are the previous or precursor units of groundwater bodies. A hydrogeological unit means one or more aquifers grouped together for the purpose of rational and effective water management. This layer represents the surface catchment areas of water seeping into aquifers.
