WFS Geographical Names GN-DE (full modelling)
Description
This download service is used to search geographical names of Germany in complex data modeling.
The dataset GN-DE contains essentially all geographical objects of Germany designated by names, which are included in the digital landscape model 1:250 000 of the ATKIS or are represented in topographic maps of the scale range 1:200 000 and smaller.
Main objects are places and districts, administrative areas (e.g. districts, municipalities), landscapes, mountains, islands, mountains, rivers, canals, lakes, seas and the like. The associated attributes are names, administrative structure (statistical key number), height, river system (water-scientific area code) and main natural spatial unit (lead number).
The full area descriptions are also available for the postcode areas.
The position of the objects is described as point geometry via a single coordinate and via the smallest circumscribed rectangles (Bounding Boxes).
The service is exclusively made available to federal authorities.
