Gross blocks (WFS service)
Description
The Basic Block Map (BBK) is a geodata base (basic map) specially developed for Dresden, which maps the small and coarse-scale division of the urban area of the state capital Dresden into so-called gross/net blocks. Starting from road edges of the road node network 1:5000 (SKN5), boundaries and selected waters (Elbe and standing waters larger than 10000 m2) as well as dividing lines (e.g. border of a railway area), the individual blocks are formed according to administrative, statistical and settlement-structural aspects.
A gross block is an area defined by block number and ID and bounded by road edges (or axes), boundaries, selected waters and dividing lines. "Separation line" means a line separating gross blocks from each other, but not in basic data sets (such as road node network 1 : 5000, Official Land Registry Information System (ALKIS®), official waters) is available and must therefore be digitized separately.
