Mean elemental contents in the Brandenburg subsurface

Description

For some selected environmentally relevant elements, maps of mean grades (median values / P50) in the underground (UG) are shown. The analytical data are based on approximately 2000 soil profiles recorded in accordance with soil mapping instructions (KA 5) and distributed irregularly over the country territory - royal water soluble contents in dry matter fine soil (less than 2 mm) for arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn); Total levels of mercury (Hg). The contents shown are for scale 1: 300,000 and are for representations in scales greater than 1: 100,000 is unsuitable. The map is based on the legend units of the soil overview map, which were assigned to the grade classes corresponding to the medians for the dominant of the surface soil forms involved. The salary classes of the card legends that are uniform for UG depend on the range of all values for the respective element.
