National Marine Protection Plan – Advisory Committee A-list
Description
The data set shows the first 36 areas proposed to be included in the national marine protection plan for Norway.
In May 2001, an advisory committee was established that has proposed which areas should be included in the protection plan. The areas proposed to the plan are distinctive areas or habitats typical of our coast. Together, they will form a network of protected and protected areas to preserve ecosystems and natural assets. The first phase of the Marine Protection Plan is focused on areas described in the Advisory Committee’s A list, which includes a total of 36 areas.
