REDIAM. WMS Risk of desertification in Andalusia. Period: 1956-2100

Description

WMS Desertification Risk Service in Andalusia (Multitemporal evaluation and monitoring of desertification in Andalusia through a Geographic Information System within the DESERTNET II Project) referenced to the years 1956, 1999, 2003, 2040, 2070 and 2100. The combination of the diagnoses of inherited desertification, current desertification and sensitivity to desertification, allow defining the state of the lands of Andalusia with respect to desertification along with the areas where the processes that cause it are more active. This combination of information can be used as a basis to define the policy of actions since it highlights areas naturally affected, affected by recent and currently active actions, and areas not affected but with a strong incidence of processes that will lead in the medium-long term to a significant degradation of the environment that would lead to a situation close to desertification.
