Description
Finnish postal offices have been published in xml format from 1638 onwards. It includes the name of the establishments, the postcode, the name of the establishment, the date of possible establishment and closure, as well as the site managers until 1916.
The information is based on the postal office database maintained at the Postal Museum.
The name of the post office appears in the form set out in the circular. There are outdated numerical forms, such as Helsinki 70, which have not been updated due to the separation of offices, because some parts of the postal code are missing. The data does not include local authority information.
