Biodiversity constraints for the wind component of the Regional Climate Plan Air Energy (SRCAE) in Midi-Pyrénées
Description
The resulting GIS layer by overlaying and without cumulation, regulatory constraints related to biodiversity, and the sensitivity of biodiversity to wind.
The objects in this layer are divided into 4 stress classes:
• Prohibited area: exclusion zones linked to regulatory protection
• Strong constraint: areas with very high environmental stakes, incompatible with the development of wind power
• Average stress: areas with high environmental challenges, where the development of wind energy remains subject to specific studies
• Low stress: areas where the development of wind power is possible subject to the fulfilment of qualitative criteria
