Combined units of potent natural vegetation for forestry support in Saxony
Description
The data set contains the areas of potentielle natural vegetation (PNV) in the Free State of Saxony. The summary of larger units is based on the area mapped by the Land Office for the Environment and Geology (LfULG) of the PNV on a scale of 1:50,000. This simplified presentation of the PNV serves as a decision-making aid for the review of the eligibility criterion “”Rejuvenation of local, natural forest societies (in protected areas)“” within the framework of forest support for the 2014-2020 funding period. For each area, the name of the PNV group and the underlying legend designation of the PNV50 are given.
