KOSTRA DWD Rain data

Description

The name KOSTRA-DWD stands for "Coordinated Heavy Precipitation Regionalization and Evaluation of the DWD". For the statistical evaluations, Germany was divided into a nationwide grid network (each about 5 x 5 km2). The DWD provides the analysis results free of charge via the Climate Data Center (CDC). The dataset contains statistical heavy rain data (precipitation heights (in mm) and precipitation donations (in l/(s x ha))) of the duration stages D 5 to 10,080 minutes. These are divided according to return times T from 1 to 100 years and grid cell. Via the geoportal of the FHH, the currently valid KOSTRA-DWD data for the urban area of the FHH can be retrieved in a precise location, prepared according to grid cells.
