Municipal accounts; municipal task fields, municipal size class, region
Description
This table contains figures on the burdens and benefits per task field (policy area) by region and size class (number of inhabitants) in millions of euros and in euros per inhabitant. The figures presented are based on data that corresponds to the definitions and classifications that the municipalities themselves use in their administration. This data is provided to CBS via the Third Party Information Survey (Iv3). The regulations for this survey are laid down in the Ministerial Regulation on Information for Third Parties.
In 2017, the policy areas were revised and referred to as these task fields (formerly functions), a direct comparison of policy areas with previous years is therefore no longer possible. In the administrations 2017 and 2018 of the municipalities, the typing of the burdens and benefits by task field is sometimes revised, thereby preventing (small) shifts between task fields between 2017 and 2018.

Status of the figures:
The figures in this table are provisional at first publication.
If changes occur, this is due to the availability of new or updated data.
Changes as of 16 December 2021:
The preliminary figures for 2020 are included.
The figures for 2019 are now final.
When are new figures coming?
New figures shall be placed 12 months after the reporting period.
The figures can be adjusted on the basis of the availability of new or updated source material.
In general, the adjustments are small in size.
The adjustments are made when a new annual figure is added to the series.
