Description
The information contained in this data set is the location of the diving centers that were considered for conducting surveys during the working days of the INTEMARES-C1.4-CUEVAS field trips carried out between July and October 2019.
This is the representation of the spatial distribution of the diving centers that were contacted for the realization of surveys by the scientific personnel participating in the project.
The area covered by the data provided covers the whole of the islands of Mallorca and Menorca.
It is a data set composed of specific elements that correspond to the location of the diving centers considered for the project.
Each object is associated with a series of alphanumeric variables such as the name of the center, its location, its coordinates, the region, if they participated in the surveys and the dates of said surveys.
The development of this set of geographical information started in October 2019.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
