Key figures municipal budgets, taxes by region and size class
Description
This table deals with the estimated revenue from part of the municipal levies in millions of euros and in euros per inhabitant. These are the charges that are comparable in the period from the 2004 reporting year. According to their location, the municipalities are divided into regions and by population size class.The figures presented contain only data that are consistent with the definitions and classifications that the municipalities themselves use in their administration, as laid down in the Decree on Budget and Responsibility of Provinces and Municipalities (GV).
The calculation of the charges in euro per inhabitant shall be based on provisional population numbers.

2004 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are provisional at first publication, with second publication in January/February following the financial year, the figures for the previous year become final.
If changes occur, this is the result of the availability of new or updated source material.
Amendments as of 26 January 2023:
Provisional figures for 2023 are included.
The figures for 2022 are final.
When will there be new figures?
The new provisional figures will be published in January/February of the financial year.
Figures will become final in January/February following the financial year.The figures can be adjusted on the basis of the availability of new or updated source material.
