Wuppertal ATOM Feed City Parking Zones
Description
The ATOM Feed Download Service for City Parking Zones in Wuppertal (also referred to as City Parking Areas) provides a downloadable data set that provides the boundaries and designations of the (as of 06/2023) three area-modeled city parking zones in the Wuppertal city area, namely Aue, Barmen and Elberfeld. City parking zones are also referred to as “application zones”. Anyone who is officially registered in such a zone with a primary or secondary residence may apply for the issue of a City Parking Card, which entitles you to park on city parking areas that are specially marked. The application can be submitted digitally via the service portal Wuppertal. The delimitations of the city parking zones were first constructed in 06/2023 on the basis of the public “list of eligible roads” based on the official base map ABK. The dataset contains the textual designation of this zone (Aue, Barmen or Elberfeld) for each ring polygon of a city park zone in the NAME attribute. The continuation of the data set provided by the Roads and Traffic Department takes place irregularly, in each case after a change in the city parking zones. The digital continuation process is currently under construction. However, the Open Data record available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is automatically updated in a fixed, weekly cycle.
The download service is updated daily by comparison with its metadata and the metadata for the data record of the Wuppertal City parking zones in the GEO Catalogue.NRW.
