Network of Sites for Monitoring Air Pollution in Ecosystems
Description
The network for monitoring the impacts of air pollution on ecosystems in Spain is set out in Articles 9 and 10 (4a) of Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2016 on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants. The network consists of 46 points for national monitoring of representative ecosystems in Spain that are sensitive to air pollution: 25 water stations (rivers and lakes);14 forest stations; 1 station with integrated data acquisition in terrestrial and aquatic habitats and 6 ozone stations that collect how this pollutant affects crops
