Urban agglomerations (Q2017. Dir 91/271/EEC)
Description
Geographical area consisting of one or more municipalities, or part of one or more of them, which by its population or economic activity constitutes a source of waste water generation justifying its collection and transfer to a treatment plant or to a final discharge point (Article 2 of Royal Decree-Law 11/1995) and Directive 91/271/EEC.
The mapping corresponds to the active agglomerations greater than or equal to 2,000 equivalent inhabitants reported in the latest monitoring report “Questionnaire 2017” containing the state of progress of Directive 91/271/EEC at 31/12/2016 (status data as of December 2016 reported to the European Commission in 2017).
