Interweaving high green/living per ha - Flanders - state 2013
Description
This map of the interweaving between high greenery and living was drawn up on the basis of the land use file at 10m resolution. 'High green' is considered here as vegetation with a height of more than 3 meters. So it is mainly solitary trees or forest. Residential cells from the land use database were used for 'living'. The analysis was carried out at a resolution of 10m. This map indicates per hectare cell whether it is a cell in which high greenery occurs without living, whether it is a residential cell without high greenery, or whether it is a cell with a certain degree of interweaving between high greenery and living, with a dominance of the green function or of the living function. For intertwined cells, a distinction is made between cells that are more than half occupied by high green (dominantly high green), or more than half occupied by living (dominantly living). Other land uses, including agriculture, water, recreation, infrastructure, etc. are excluded from the analysis.
