Flight geophysical magnetic anomaly map
Description
GTK has conducted a geophysical flight survey as a low-flight survey between 1972 and 2007. The altitude has been 30-40 meters and the distance between the air routes has been mainly 200 metres. The flight lines run from north to south or east to west based on the main geological direction, and the distance between the measuring points on the flight lines has been between 6 and 50 metres. The geophysical quantities measured are: earth’s magnetic field, earth’s electromagnetic field and natural gamma radiation.
Magnetic measurements are used to measure the magnitude of the earth’s magnetic field (frequency of the magnetic strip) and the measurement result is the intensity of the total or total magnet field. Measurements have been carried out with 1-3 proton imagnetometers until 1991 and 1-2 cesium magnetometers since 1991. Most of the ground area has been flown using two magnetometers.
