Areas of organic production (data)
Description
The presented maps of the crop-specific cultivation areas were developed in the working group of test preparers in organic farming at the Association of Chambers of Agriculture. The definition of these growing areas is based on the division of Germany into soil-climate spaces (BKR). Each municipality in Germany is assigned to exactly one soil-climate area. This also results in the unambiguous allocation to the different crop-specific cultivation areas of organic farming.
