LGRB-BW BK50: Excavability up to 1 m depth

Description

In order to assess the “very difficult geology” according to VwV broadband funding (point 8.6) of 1.8.2015, the map works in the LGRB are evaluated according to a nationwide uniform method for excavability. It is part of the Soil Science Methodology of the State Geological Services. The numbers listed in the card legend in follow-up brackets identify the eight rating categories described therein. However, this method and the information derived from it do not replace DIN18300 (VOB procurement and contract regulations for construction services). From the present medium-scale soil and geological maps and data, in principle, no parcel-sharp statements and no evaluation of the subsurface classes according to DIN 18300, e.g. for tenders and cost calculations, can be derived. Sites with strong influence by ground, slope or dam water are identified separately. When opening, pipe trenches, e.g. from soft soil masses lying in the groundwater, can be compressed quickly, so that temporary installation is required. Congestion occurs when a low water-permeable soil layer hinders the downward movement of the leachate in the soil. The near-surface water forms especially after extensive rainfall or after the snow melt. In case of prolonged drought and due to the water consumption of the vegetation, it usually disappears during the growing season. In the case of a pipeline construction in spring, free soil water is to be expected, comparable to groundwater sites, while dry soil layers are usually encountered in late summer and autumn.
