Population centres 2011; cities and villages in the Netherlands
Description
This table contains data on the number of inhabitants, households and dwellings, proximity to facilities, areas and densities for population centres (cities and villages) in the Netherlands. A population centre consists of contiguously built-up area with residential area as its core. Former population nuclei can grow to another core due to the growth of the cultivated area. For example, built areas of Rijswijk (ZH), Voorburg, Loosduinen and Delft are part of the core Groot –’s Gravenhage. A population centre can extend over several municipalities.
The figures presented concern the residents and dwellings that are present within these cores. No data on the area outside the cores is presented.
Data available for 2011 reporting year.
Status of the figures
This table contains definitive figures with the exception of data on the average WOZ value, which are provisional.
