Description
The 1:100 000 scale bedrock map data includes data produced by the Geological Survey of Finland in 1948-2007 for the purpose of mapping mineral raw material resources, society’s aggregate management and scientific research. This data includes rock species data as spatial boundaries, bedrock detection and drilling points, as well as essential tectonic observations, lithological primary structures, ore minerals and metamorphic index minerals. In addition to the rock species data, stratigraphy is also presented for some 1:100 000 chart sheets. Most maps are also accompanied by an explanatory book.
