Map layer Flood areas North Rhine-Westphalia
Description
Flood areas determined are the result of a flood calculation using hydraulic-numeric models. This calculation is based on a flood event, as is statistically expected once every 100 years. The floodplains identified form the basis for the provisional safeguarding and subsequent official establishment of the floodplains. This database is updated daily.
