Description
This table gives an overview of the codes and names of all Dutch municipalities, COROP areas, provinces and districts for the period from 1830 to the present day.

The data is final.
Changes by: June 2023
In the explanatory notes of the areas, the numbers of inhabitants, surface area and dwellings concerned have been added, including border changes between regions.
In 2024, there will be no municipal reclassifications and no border changes between municipalities. The next update of this table will not take place until 2025.
When will there be new figures?
First quarter 2025.
In the first quarter of each year, the municipal reclassifications and/or name changes with explanations are implemented. In the third quarter, the explanatory memorandum adds the numbers of inhabitants, surface area and dwellings involved, including border changes between regions.
