Transverse structures and fish ascent systems — Downloadservice
Description
The service provides transverse structures and fish ascent systems as shape files for download. Improving biological continuity in flowing waters is part of the overall package “Improving the hydromorphological water situation” and contributes to the implementation of the EC Water Framework Directive (EC-WFD). The State Office for the Environment (LfU) has carried out a Bavarian-wide data collection. A good 58,000 transverse structures (weirs, sole structures, passageways, piping) and fish ascent plants have been recorded and evaluated in the reporting water framework network.
