Geoitineraries of Andalusia: itineraries through the geological heritage
Description
Geological itineraries designed in order to disseminate the Geodiversity and Geological Heritage of Natural Areas of Andalusia. A free App mobile application has been developed that aims to be a complement to the endowments of equipment for public use that exist in protected natural areas and promote geotourism activities in our autonomous community. The application provides accurate information about the user's situation, specific information about the stop, maps with the route, the distance from other points of interest, and especially specific information about the geological heritage at each stop supported by images. Since the route of these routes runs, for the most part, along paths and lanes for public use, it also offers useful information on the accesses, equipment and services made available to visitors. Includes nine itineraries: Almería (Sierra del Plomo and Mesa Rodán-Playa de los Muertos), Cádiz (Flysch del Estrecho), Córdoba (Río Bailón), Granada (Canal de la Espartera-Arenales del Trevenque), Huelva (El Asperillo), Jaén (Río Borosa), Málaga (Rutas Amaril y Verde) and Sevilla (La Vía Verde). This action is part of the objectives and action plan of the Andalusian Strategy for Integrated Geodiversity Management, specifically in action 76 "Search for technical tools, supported by new technologies, that facilitate the dissemination and knowledge of the Geological Heritage and Andalusian Geodiversity".
