Description
Rhineland-Palatinate received an independent Land Soil Protection Act (LBodSchG) on 2 August 2005. It describes the structure and content of the Rhineland-Palatinate Soil Information System (BIS RP). In addition, the designation of soil protection and soil loading areas is planned. These site designations are also accompanied by provisions on site-related measures to be implemented there. The brochure Protected and vulnerable soils in Rhineland-Palatinate primarily provides basic information on natural functions, archive functions and the agricultural use function of the soil. Detailed information on the individual soil functions can be found in the brochure Brochure-Valuable-and-vulnerable-floors. In order to assess the degree of protection and vulnerability of soils in Rhineland-Palatinate, easy-to-use and generally accepted methods were used to assess the individual soil functions.
