Environmental costs and investments of companies
Description
This table provides information on the environmental costs and investments by companies (with 10 or more employees) and the net environmental costs of these companies in the mineral extraction, industry, energy supply and water extraction sectors according to the Standard Operating Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The net environmental burden reflects the financial burden on business as a result of taking care of the environment.
Data available from: 2012 (for the 2008 business classification SBI).
Status of figures:
The figures for the years 2012 to 2022 are final.
Final figures will only be revised if significant adjustments are found to be necessary.
Changes as of 23 April 2024:
Final figures for 2022 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
Final results for 2023 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2025.
