SOLICIT Indicator Ontology
Description
SOLICIT (semantic ontology-labelled indicator contextualisation taxonomy) is an ontology for contextualising indicators. The ontology integrates the common core ontologies with the concepts of the ISO 11179 metadata registry standard, providing a common mid-level ontology (sitting just beneath the common core ontologies), which can be extended at a specific indicator domain level. SOLICIT is therefore a generic indicator-contextualisation framework allowing a common model for presenting and describing indicators.
