BUEK250N: Field capacity up to 1m depth
Description
On the basis of the usage-differentiated ground overview map on a scale of 1:250,000, the field capacity up to 1m depth is mapped in 5 classes.
Field capacity is a measure of how much water a soil can hold against gravity permanently. By reference to 1m soil depth, the field capacity is up to 1m below ground surface. The unit of measurement is mm. The usage differentiation is based on CORINE-Land Cover (CLC5_2018). The land use classes listed there were aggregated into 5 classes (arable land, grassland, forest, wasteland and settlement/traffic).
The FK1m depends on a variety of factors. These include soil type, storage density, humus content and use.
