GE.Earths 1:250 000, Northernmost Sweden
Description
GE.Jordarter 1:250 000, Nordligaste Sverige is a transformed version of SGU's product Jordarter 1:250 000, Nordligaste Sverige in order to meet the INSPIRE data specification for the Geology theme by coding according to GeoSciML 4.1.
Infomration is simplified in terms of subdivision of soils into lithological units and in terms of constituent polygon layers with lithological units. In this version, only JG2 Base layers are reported, which means that any underlying layers or overlying thin or incoherent surface layers are not reported.
The map Soils 1:250 000 northernmost Sweden covers the northernmost part of Sweden and gives a very general picture of the distribution and landforms of soils. The map can be used as a very comprehensive planning and resource management basis for exploration companies, county administrative boards, municipalities and other stakeholders. The map image is generalized for presentation on a scale of 1:250,000 and the smallest area reported is about 0.1 km2.
