REDIAM. WMS Geomorphological Map of Andalusia

Description

WMS service corresponding to the Geomorphological Map prepared from the Atlas of Andalusia (volume II) by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Ministry of the Environment at a scale of 1:400,000. Developed based on the Geological Map of the Magna 1:50,000 series, adjusted with Landsat satellite images. In the terrestrial environment, 12 Morphogenetic Systems have been established, 3 in the marine-continental domain (littoral, estuarine and wind), and 8 in the continental domain (fluvial, lacustrine, fluvio-gravitational, denudative, structural-denudative, glacier-periglacial, karst-denudative and volcanic-denudative). A class, anthropic forms, has also been defined, which is present both in the marine-continental domain and in the continental domain itself and which attends, rather than geomorphological criteria, to its artificial genesis. In the marine environment, the following geomorphological forms and processes are defined: platform shapes, slope shape and sea basins, and processes (slope sedimentary input, landslides, coast line advance and retreat and sediment transfer). Physiographic analysis predominates. Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. Integrated in the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Cartographic System of Andalusia.
