City of Gelsenkirchen: Small-scale representation of the climate quality of areas
Description
The data were determined as part of the development of the urban climate management system (a computer-based urban climate assessment concept). They show a small-scale classification of the urban area into climate tops. The climatic qualification and quantification took place via a metric that objectively takes into account both the thermal and exchange-relevant as well as the air-hygienic characteristics of the respective land use. This indicator, designated as ‘climate quality’, has been applied to all areas of the city of Gelsenkirchen and can be taken from the map
