Landscape protected areas Germany
Description
Germany-wide overview of designated landscape protected areas. Landscape protected areas (§ 26 BNatSchG) are responsible for the maintenance, development or restoration of the performance and functioning of the natural budget. As a rule, they are larger areas that also have an impact on the recovery of the human being. This harmonised dataset was merged by the Federal Office for Nature Conservation from data from the federal states. An update is made annually. Since the data come from different sources and are based on different measurement standards, deviations are possible in a position and also up-to-date.
