Stand Bite expert opinion NRW
Description
The inventory of bite reports (without risk level) including year of preparation in accordance with §22 para. 5 Landesjagdgetz is shown. The green herds contain the current bites (not older than 5 years), the red herds contain reports that are older than 5 years, have not yet been completed or have been cancelled. In blue are holdings in which, due to the low proportion of forest or for other reasons, no denaturing reports are produced. The bite reports serve the legitimate claim of the forestry industry to protection against game damage and are to be drawn up at regular intervals of three to five years by the Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen. The Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen carries out this sovereign task for all types of forest ownership at the level of the official hunting districts. The requirements for this are laid down in the decree ‘Preparation of bite-testing reports’. The individual results of a hunting district are always treated confidentially and are handed over exclusively to the hunting cooperative or the owners of their own hunting, to the responsible forestry company officials of the lower hunting authorities. The issuing of denaturing reports can be requested from the responsible regional forestry office with the appropriate authorization.
