National Soil Erosion Inventory (2002-2019). Erosion in riverbeds
Description
This Inventory aims to locate, quantify and analyse the evolution of erosive phenomena, with the ultimate aim of delimiting as accurately as possible the priority areas of action in the fight against erosion, as well as to define and assess the actions to be carried out, within the plans and programs whose preparation also assigns Royal Decree 1415/2000 (repealed), which establishes the organizational structure of the Ministry of the Environment. The risk of erosion in streams is classified by hydrological units according to qualitative levels, determined from the slope, lithology, geomorphology, precipitation intensity, laminar erosion, mass movements, erosion on slopes and erosion on slopes with rainfall. It allows the qualitative classification of hydrological units according to susceptibility to suffer torrential phenomena in its drainage network.
