Description
This dataset makes an inventory of the canton’s agricultural areas. It encompasses all arable land, still growing areas (grazing) and permanent crops (vignes, orchards). These areas are classified according to their agricultural suitability, from very good to less good. The management data for this inventory (OCA3012S_SURFACE_AGRICOLE) meets the requirements of the Confederation’s sectoral floor plan. The best agricultural land is the cropland classified according to the soil types ‘A’, ‘AB1’ and ‘AB2’ with a state of validity of ‘consolidated’, ‘golf areas’ or ‘complementary’ data. In order to facilitate reading in consultation and for dissemination, agricultural areas have been divided into two classes of entities comprising, respectively, current stocking areas (OCA3015S_SURFACE_ASSOLEMENT) and agricultural areas with reduced skills (OCA3016S_SURFACE_AGRICOLE_A_APTITUDE_REDUITE). In both classes, only the soil classification attribute (TYPE_SU) is retained. The SDA quota class (OCA3013S_QUOTA_SDA) summarises the SDA’s balance sheet for the canton and allows the SeCA to monitor the evolution of these areas. Geometrically, it is based on cantonal boundaries. OCA3014S_SURFACE_AGRICOLE_2018 is an archive saved when changing the data model.
