Andalusian Inventory of Georesources. 2004
Description
The inventory of Georesources of Andalusia, published in 2004, represents the first phase of the Andalusian Strategy for the conservation of Geodiversity. The 588 areas of geological interest cataloged have been classified into 11 categories, the most frequent being geomophologic and sedimentation (more than 40%). The other categories correspond to a stratigraphic, paleontological, petrological, cavity, hydrogeological, geomining, tectonic, mineralogical and geoarchaeological interest. For protection reasons, the approximate location of 18 paleontological or mineralogical deposits considered extremely fragile is shown by grids. Includes a CD-ROM with an informative application.
