Soil map

Description

The soil maps provide information about the occurrence and spatial distribution of the individual soil types in the canton of Bern. The published soil maps are individual completed mapping projects, which were created between 1970 and 2005. The maps were created as a basis for structural improvements, land relocations and meliorations. Since the question was different from project to project, each card has its own legend. The ground maps are therefore not a self-contained unit. For this reason, an attribute table was added to the individual cards. Attribute designations used in the table ‘BODENTYP’ are standardised and identical for all projects shown.
