“Summary: The object of this thesis is to carry out a practical test for the collection of eulitoral seagrass stocks and the evaluation of the terrain and remote sensing methods used for this purpose. Based on the monitoring plan for the monitoring of transition and coastal waters in Lower Saxony according to EC-WRRL, six eulitoral seagrass stocks were analysed and evaluated in summer 2006. Abstract: Subject of the present study is the implementation of a practical test for recording sea grass meadows of the intertidal zone and the assessment of theield and remote sensing methods used. According to the Water Framework Directive a monitoring concept for the transitional and coastal waters of Lower Saxony was developed. Based on this concept, population biology was investigated and assessed within six intertidal sea grass meadows during summer 2006.
