Description
“[...] Studies on the battery mulaiton strategy of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Hg and Zn) were carried out in Arenicola marina, Hediste diversicolor (Polychaeta) and Cerastoderma edule and Mya arenaria (Bivalvia). The validation is based on studies carried out by BERNDS (1993) and Janßen (1993) as part of the project “Heavy metals in organisms of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea near Norderney” (Zauke et al. 1995). Sampling was carried out in the sublitoral area of the Wadden Sea in Norderney and Dorumersiel. [...] In March and April 1995, samples were taken at Norderneyer Watt, while the watt was sampled in front of the Dorumersiel beach in May 1995. [...]’
